Tiara Freeman

I am a painter a who focuses on black love, nature and spirituality. I photograph my human subjects, in their pure essence of peace and fortitude, wearing wear no makeup and donned in their natural hair. I also honor nature by photographing plants and flowers. In each work I choose to blow them up in size and magnify their importance by taking time to sculpt the plant’s form and paint them with bright colors. These wall sculptures are created to have a large presence and attitude that demands attention and appreciation for nature’s beauty while also cultivating the serene environment that it affords us. Allowing the raw form to shine through, human or plant life, displays just how powerful one is in their own right without intervention. Nature shows us its independent power every day, my goal is to lead the viewer to find that same strength within themselves through my work. Each painting, regardless of subject is a representation of nature’s resilience and power, never lacking love and always providing life.
